Esther Um

Esther (they/she) was born in Seoul, South Korea. They moved to the U.S with their family at eight years old. They're bilingual which means they've always got  the hottest gossip in both Korean and English. 

They graduated from NYU Tisch School of the Art in 2021, earning a BFA Drama and a BA in History. At NYU, she trained at the Lee Strasberg Theatre in method acting and Film Institute and Stonestreet Studios in on-camera acting and voice over.

Since graduating they have been working on everything from films, commercials, to plays.  Most recently/notably: NBC's Law & Order (S23), IT Cosmetics, GEICO.

They also write and direct! Their film Blue Hour is an Official Selection of, the Canadian Screen Award qualifying, New York Shorts International Film Festival.

When they're not doing all these things, you can probably find them napping with their cat, Olive, or making their world famous miso cream pasta recipe (the key is in finding the right miso to heavy cream ratio.)
